Winter is upon us and if you live anywhere cold that your skin is feeling it. So I am sharing my skincare must haves, please leave yours in the comments!
I try and stick to products as clean as possible, because in all honesty everything we put on our body should be as clean as what we eat, so make sure and double check ingredients and do your research.
The main idea in winter skincare is to moisturize and get rid of dry/dead skin. With the heat and fire going you need to be sure your feeding that skin the same water your feeding your body. I am currently researching humidifiers for our bedrooms and living room because the air has been so dry, I will report back on this.
And lets not forget that good skin starts with your stomach. Hydrating your body, getting in healthy fats, gut health, eating as many plants as possible are all ways to boost that skin. I make sure we all drink half our body weight in ounces of water every day is really great for your immune system, keeping yourself regular and your skin.
Here goes!
Cleanse
My favorite multi-tasking gem in my skincare routine. I warm up the balm in my hands, apply to dry skin and then use these muslim cloths (soaked in hot water) to gently remove makeup.
I double cleanse with this cleanser after the balm (only when wearing makeup).
Tone
Radiance Toner I use this after cleansing, I use this after cleansing and see it’s best results when consistent with it!
Witch Hazel is another easy inexpensive way to tone super sensitive skin, I love this one with rose oil!
Serum
I just added this Hydrating Serum this Fall and I love it, I let the toner dry and then pat this on, being careful not to apply too close to my eyes or lips because I am super sensitive near there.
Moisturizer
Skin Bae - I have been using this oil as a moisturizer day and night, I let my skin absorb it completely (after toner and serum) and layer a cream over it.
love this stuff, it’s thick and best used when I want my skin to hydrate quickly.
Night Cream I love how thick this is.
Cleansing Balm is also a fantastic way to hydrate! I use it as an overnight mask (the best multi tasking product!)
Facial Oil
Skin Bae This has brightened, coeared my skin of acne scars and moisturized my skin in the best way possible. It is woman owned, clean and you see a difference after just a week.
I got this as a mini and really have loved it. I am all about super hydrating my skin during the winter, this one is light and great for AM.
I use this one at night, it’s thicker so a little patted on at the end of my routine goes a long way.
Body Tata Harper Body Oil
I love getting this as a luxe treat for the bath, it smells like heaven and it goes on evenly when you add to your bath.
I have been using this German cream on my feet with socks, because they are in ROUGH shape!
This hand cream is sitting right next to our sanitizer.
I just ordered this moisturizer, and this
Eye Cream
This is the queen of eye depuffing. It is a must for sleepless night and yet its still ok for my sensitive skin.
I have seen such an improvement with the fine lines around my eyes, love love love this stuff. I love finding quality products that have safe ingredients for a great price.
Eye cream is my last step, I dab it on very gently with my ring finger.
Masks
Is the best when you need instant boost to your skin, it strips away guck like no other.
Overnight Mask is the best for low maintenance days, allow to dry and I apply to clean skin, top with a facial oil or serum so I can wake feeling like I had a facial while I slept.
New to me but I have been loving it. I wear it on clean skin and sleep with it on, I wake up feeling like my skin is fresh. 1-2 x a week, will increase it now that I know my skin likes it.
I love doing this one once a week or as a spot treatment for breakouts.
Self Tanner
a drop of the Medium Dark in my night cream or oil a couple times a week gives me the I went on vacation glow that we all need right now.
I also find rest days from makeup completely necessary and game changer when it comes to bring your skin back from the dead of winter.
