Hey hey,

I am trying to keep up with these, what mama wore lately: to have outfits on another place other than on the LikeToKnowIt app, so here is a few recents. Trying to dress more for me, my mood and what I am doing that day instead of what is in. And you guys it makes me so happy. fashion for me is not just what is in, but what fits my body and what I feel looks good on me. Nothing like a little self care that means I look in the mirror and am happy with what I see. Cheers to more of that in 2020.

Love love my overalls and stepped it up with this neon blazer (mine is from rent the runway) but still kept it mom-friendly with some sneakers. Also adding a cross body strap from Madewell to my LV Speedy (amazing deal on this one!!) was the best thing ever. I do want to get an insert in hopes that the bag has a better form.

Much more recent look, just bought a size smaller in the denim because these are old and SO flattering. They have a good amount of stretch but hold in just enough to make this mama happy. The jacket makes the outfit and is a Rent The Runway score, but I linked a couple affordable options.

Nothing like an oversized oxford in your spring wardrobe, as coverup, over dresses, tied up with a midi skirt or just like this for a cute polished mama look.

I wear these pants so much that I have 4 out 10 photos in them. But they are so flattering that I do not care, under $40 and just hands down a Spring favorite. The top and shoes are old but I liked similar.

This is one of those spring, under $20 dollar tops I will wear over and over. So flattering, happy color and the perfect amount of floral.

This is a look you will see me in often, when the weather is quite warm enough but I am a rebel and pull out the maxi dress anyway. Nothing like some hightop chucks to complete the "playground after pick up" look.

Another layered look for a cooler day. I have 2 or three of these Free People cardigans and they are worth ALL the hype. I pair over a dress, over a tee & midi skirt or leggings. And Dr Martens and fedora are a great waymace the outfit a rainy day outfit!

This look is just a mood and I am so here for it. The Chanel flats were a gift from the hubby, I linked a whole page of them on The Real Real, I love that they take any look up a notch. The open knit cardigan is a really oldie Zara sale find (like 10 years ago!) and I have been on the lookout for something similar for years.

That is it for now. These take a chunk of time to save the images and link everything, so please let me know if it's worth it or not!! But when I think about where I see my blog in the future I definitely see a place holder in inspiring women to dress in a way that makes them happy when they look in the mirror. It is in fact, a way to be the best version of yourself so I will keep doing it if you want me too!

High Neck Top is an oldie Frame top, here are some similar ones under $50

This // This // This //

I love the first signs of Spring in the city, the days you don't need 5 layers under a big puffer to stay warm, and just a blazer or a trench will work ( and a scarf!). The other thing I love is busting out some color in breezy fabrics.

When searching for tops I am looking for a few things.

#1 Can I wear it multiple ways, dressed up for a meeting or dressed down to the playground.

#2 Must be washable. I just really need to not be afraid to wear the white top, I'm a mama and goodness life is messy AF.

#3 Is it flattering. Just because something is in style does not mean I need it. It has to be flattering on me, especially with my limited city closet space.

White Tops ( I like to update/add one or two every Spring )

1. I love the neck on this top, I can see myself wearing it with some cut offs, or denim or even a pencil skirt for Easter. LOVE.

2. I just ordered this white Tunic, I have never ordered anything from here but I am excited about the fabric (and to layer over a swim suit!).

3. Really love this eyelet top, I would size up and wear with skinny jeans or over a swimsuit or cut-offs in the summer.

4. I love the cinching on this top, so cute. I would wear with overalls, under a cardigan or with some cropped wide leg denim and some flats.

5. This Wrap Top is so chic, and for $40 it's a must for your Spring wardrobe. I can see this dressing up a pair of colored denim, trousers or even some cute dressy shorts!

Chambray (must have for your wardrobe! A nice fitted one and a nice tunic/oversized one!) 1. Love this Boyfriend one, oversized (cannot beat this sale price!)! 2. Love this darker western inspired one! 3. I have a sleeveless one like this that is oversized, I wear it over leggings or dresses and tied up with midi skirts!

Knitwear

1. Love this hooded sweater, as a coverup, withe my fav leather leggings or to give a new life to a slip dress., 2. this oversized chenille sweater is something that I could wear all season. 3. Love this cable knit sweater, another I can wear to the playground or over a swim suit.

Floral

Let's not forget Floral! 1. Love this wrap top, it's bodysuit which I love. 2. And I love a great smocked top too. 3. This little top with the great shoulder detail is one of my favs, I can see it dressed up, down or even for the office (if you are worried on it being to deep of a v, wear a camisole!) 4. Floral dress shirt is so beautiful, imagine it tucked into a wide leg pant or with some cut offs & slides on vacation! 5. Love this floral smocked top, too.

Pastels.

1. Love this top so much. You can wear under a cardigan or jacket! 2. This long sleeve floral top is also so great, and under $15! 3. This weekend boxy tee is something I could wear a ton!

I cannot wait to add a few of these to my closet! But don't forget to pull out all of your Spring/Summer goodies, try them on and clean out ones you don't like/ have not worn or don't fit or dry clean/steam ones you will be keeping!

I know it seems like Spring is really far away but I am starting a Wear Spring Now board on Pinterest to show ways to wear spring goodies now in colder weather.

Super late on this post but better late than never! I am dreaming of Spring and planning to dress the part (with layers of course).

I am sticking to a very capsule type of wardrobe, mainly for space reasons but also because it just makes life so much easier. Maybe one day I will actually create a capsule!

For now I usually make a list of what I am shopping for.

I think mine will look a little like this... Need to pull out my spring wardrobe from storage to really know.

And then I create a little inspiration board with looks I know I will easily wear to pickup, playground, grocery shop and to a few meetings (planning for more of these clients meetings in 2020!) I just created this inspo board for my tia who is traveling in April but it gives you an idea of what I do before shopping, I like to print and hang up my inspo board near my closet so I am reminded on how to remix my closet. I swear it works.

Now for some things I am using after.

Dresses ( I need a longer dress that I can mom in, wear with sneakers or slides or even cute booties when it's still too cold. I wear dresses almost every day in warm weather so I do not mind investing in ones that fit well!).

Midi Skirt ( I love that all of these can be worn in cooler temps with boots and sweater, dressed up or even with sneakers and a tee for playground visits.)

Oversized White Shirt ( this is another piece I will invest in, I wore my last one out because they are perfect to wear with skinny jeans, leggings, over a swimsuit, front tucked with high heels; possibilities are endless and it's a classic. I like the oversized fit!)

Trench coat, I am really on the hunt for a Burberry one from The Real Real but also have seen some beautiful affordable options.

Camel Hat, but really I will be looking to add a couple to my collection. (I need a new straw one too!!) I realized how much I love hats, especially in the city where I walk everywhere rain or shine. Plus they make dirty hair or air dried hair look a lot more chic.

Knit Sweater, thinking oversized in neutrals that I can wear with denim, a skirt, legging and over dresses, swimsuits (maybe sweats... lol).

Shoes are a big priority for me right now, I feel like I don't have comfortable shoes that I love so I am going to spend for more quality ( and search The Real Real for some designer ones) and going to order a few to try for comfort (more on that). Looking for one or two fun pairs and some neutrals (pumps and booties). I had to share these red heels, 60% off the sale price and my mom says they are one of the most comfortable pumps she owns!

I would love to hear what you are wishing on for your Spring wardrobe!
