Helloooo!

This is another post I have been promising to my oil ladies!

Diffusing every single day means cleaning diffusers at least 1x a week. And I don't mean just rinsing them, you want to get rid of residue, oil and if it's been a while since you tried to clean it then there is definitely some much.

I learned this trick when cleaning out the girls humidifier and it's so so so easy + effective, for both the humidifier and diffuser too!

Because who has time or the extra money to keep replacing these things!

1. Unplug your diffuser

2. Rinse out the bowl (where you pour the water)

3. Add 2-4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (depending on size of diffuser).

4. Diffuse the stinky aroma for 5 minutes (a little longer if it's extra yucky).

5. Unplug the diffuser and rinse well.

(I like to diffuse a little citrus or pine after cleaning it out to completely disinfect and clear the diffuser)

As you can see above it's so easy you can do it with two babes "helping". heheheh. love them!!! Hope this helps all of you guys, if not an oil mama then try it on your humidifier! Make sure an comment here or on my instagram and tell me how it works for you!

xoxo

Happy Monday lovelies!

I hope that your holiday was everything you wanted it to be and more. Ours was filled with family, lots of to-do's and equal parts over-eating and resting. Goodness this season of life sure is busy but watching our families love on our baby girls is a dream. Holidays can be a bit sad without my twin brother around but making plans to meet up somewhere tropical this spring has me sooo excited. (hi nate!!)

As the holidays have officially sneaked into the scene I am starting to implement some ways of not stressing, being present and maybe even a little more handmade in our gifts. Totally inspired by my friend Sara at Well Beyond The Kitchen.

I mean we all know how much I love a craft or recipe but sometimes I find myself in the man "I have to" rather than the "I get to". So this year I am going start out strong and tell of you I get to do a lot to create a special holiday season for our girls, from keeping our house guest ready, to shopping, wrapping, cooking, baking, gifting and planning santa visits, and so much more. And although I feel fortunate enough to do this all without having another full-time job (other than staying at home with the girls) it still can be stressful.

This is where I make sure that my oils are stocked up for diffusing. And this last year I have really gotten into making my own rollers! I thought that as we all dive head on into the holidays I should share one of my favorites for keeping calm. (email me if you'd like to learn more about oils or order some!)

Roller bottles // Carrier oil options - coconut oil // jojoba oil // labels

Young Living Oils (contact me and I can order for you!)

I fill the bottles 3/4 of the way with either of oils linked above.

Olive oil or organic baby oil would also work, but may change the scent a bit.

5 drops of lavendar

5 drops of citrus blend

Give it a good shake after closing tightly.

Roll on your wrists and temples.

Take a few deep breaths and drink a glass of water.

Instantly feel the calming effects.

I keep one in my car, one in my bag and one by my bed.

Sounds a bit crazy but you guys the effect of these oils is sooo great that you'll be hooked.

Email me if you'd like a tiny sample of to try!

And if you have these oils go, diffuse or make this roller now.

xoxo
